What information do we collect?
We collect data to provide you with a better experience of using our websites and applications, amongst other reasons (see the "How will we use your data?" section below). We do not collect data from or about children under 18 without permission from a parent or guardian. If, in any case, we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, data will be deleted as quickly as possible. Online via our various application platforms and databases that we use are either wholly-owned or used by us under license.

How do we use your personal data
F-EIR staff – to provide you with applicable services.
Product and services – on your request, we will provide product and services or communicate with you about those products or services.
Queries – will provide a response to your inquiries.
Administration – to assist you in membership grade approvals, scholarship and award nominations, and certifications.
Banks, finance management, direct debit, and accountancy software systems – so that we can process payments with you in accordance with the appropriate transaction that you are entering into with us.
Reviewers and judges – in relation to an application for an award, scholarship, bursary, and grant funding.
Mentoring services – to provide you with the service you opt-in for.
Telemarketing agencies – in order that they may assist us with our membership renewal process.
Mailing and delivery companies – to send you written communications and hard copies of newsletters, magazines, etc., as appropriate.
Electoral service companies – for assisting us with the running of our elections process.
Sponsors and external judges – for their assessment of participants in our events and competitions.
Third-party legal, counseling, and career services – to provide the contracted service (only on receipt of your completed contact form).
Social media – where you have submitted a community-related news story to us, and we have published it, publication may be via https://f-eir.org/news.
Print supplier companies – for the fulfillment of external printing.
Travel booking systems, travel companies, taxi services, and flight providers – where you ask us to make such arrangements on your behalf.
Venues where we are running an event, conference, or symposium – when the venue requires attendees' details to make bookings, such as hotel rooms.
Publishing software and solutions companies – your personal data may be processed in such software systems for us to generate royalty details.
Books sales agents, book distributors, shipping agents – to fulfill our sales obligations to you.
Extracting the information not provided by you
We may collect your data from other sources such as using websites, journal papers, or institutional websites. Your data may be retrieved by contracting 3rd party databases to collate recommended contact lists for potential authors and editors.
We will not sell, rent or give email addresses and your personal data to anyone outside the F-EIR.
We may disclose your personal data to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share it, to comply with any legal regulations, good governance obligations, to enforce or to protect our rights, property, or safety, that of other persons with whom we have a business relationship, or to purchasers or prospective purchasers in relation to a disposal of our business or assets. This may include service providers that:

Provide customer, technical or operational support.
Conduct or support membership or marketing activities (such as election management activities, email, or advertising platforms).
Fulfill orders and user requests.
Host our online communities, forums, and other online services.
Provide indexing and linkage of publication content or metadata.

We may use third-party service providers to support the provision of our services. Such will relate to business functions, including (without limitation) IT support, hosting our data on cloud platforms, legal, accounting, audit, consulting, and other professional service providers, and providers of other services related to our business.
Portions of our services may be provided by organizations with which we have a contractual relationship, including subcontractors, and, accordingly, your personal data may be disclosed to them. We only provide these organizations with the information that they need to be able to perform their services. We will have an agreement with our service providers, which will restrict how they can process your personal data.
Authors submit their manuscript and personal details via online submission and peer review systems. If a manuscript is accepted, the files will be transferred to our Production system, including your personal data.
We may use your personal data to contact you to invite you to serve as a peer reviewer. We will refrain from doing this if you inform us that you do not want to participate in such an activity.
Your personal information may be included in our internal tracking and archiving processes.
If you provide us with your personal data, we will ask you if you would like to receive information from us about our other activities, products, and services. If you choose to opt-in to receive this information, we may contact you regarding journal news, journal symposia, themed Issues, nominations for lectureships, and awards. You will not be automatically opted-in, and if you do opt-in, you can opt-out at any time.
Your personal information may be reviewed by F-EIR staff to help us deliver our charitable activities and raise funds.
F-EIR may make use of certain third-party companies that use techniques other than HTTP cookies to recognize computers or devices used to access F-EIR's digital properties and/or to collect and record information (in an anonymized and/or aggregated form) about the web surfing activity of visitors to F-EIR's digital properties. Some F-EIR digital properties contain links to other services whose information practices may be different from ours, such as social media platforms, other media services and platforms, and third-party organizations that provide F-EIR member benefit programs. Visitors should consult these other services' privacy notices, as F-EIR has no control over information submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.
This website is governed by and operated in accordance with Indian law. Information collected or submitted outside the India will be transferred to and processed in the India, where F-EIR's central databases reside.
As long as the User's account is active with F-EIR, it retains personal data collected from a user or as needed for F-EIR to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected unless otherwise required by law. Policy.

The Federation of Environmental Issues and its Remediation is a non-profit federation located in Chandigarh, India. The F-EIR’s mission is to develop the study concerning to environment at an international level. The research includes scientific and practical matters capable of advancing the technical, economic, aesthetic, and environmental performance.
