The F-EIR secretariat is headed by the secretary general and is located in Chandigarh, India.
The secretary general provides overall guidance on the daily operations of the association and ensures coordination within the association and with partner associations.
The secretariat provides all the administrative support to the association, including membership, bulletin sales, awards and communications to carry out the directives of the presidium.
The F-EIR is composed of individual environment scientists (engineers and professionals) in related disciplines. The Office of the Secretary is responsible for (1) supporting these governance units and their activities, (2) working with them and senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive and coherent strategy for the Federation, as well as developing supporting strategies and implementation and evaluative plans, and (3) communicating a clear, consistent message about the Federation—and about environment—to the public, news media, public and elected officials, the chemical enterprise, and F-EIR members.
